This place is a gem, tons of vegetarian options to choose from and everything tastes so authentic and fresh!
Spice level is low, but everything tasted yumm!
We ordered eggplant salad, falafel, manti, bread basket, and desert!
Their Baklava is one of the best I ever had, definitely going back ! It's kinda on the expensive side but it's tasted really fresh !
Service was quick, had to find street parking as the venue is on a Main Street. -

A good Middle Eastern place on Elm St. is a definite need and Matbah somewhat takes that pressure away of finding solid Mediterranean eats. The menu itself was great, offering a big selection of staples like falafel, lamb, kebabs, and other Greek and Turkish food. It's very vegetarian and vegan friendly. The food was delicious and quick to come out.
The service was lackadaisical and the waiter was texting when we were still waiting on items that were just forgot. We also couldn't get the check in a reasonable amount of time. No customer should have to get up to go seek out their own bill. The inside was clean and nicely decorated, but also small and dark. No much atmosphere and likely wouldn't be a good date spot or place for quiet conversation. -

First visit, a mid-week whim that couldn't have turned out better! Hubby and I were in the mood for grape leaves and yelp led us here...after reviewing the sizable menu, we didn't even get grape leaves! What we did get was super- the calamari, sigara boregi (spiced feta in phylo), and stuffed cabbage.
Everything was fresh and delicious, plus friendly owners and server, nice decor. Can't wait to come back and try more items! -

Amazing, vast selection of Mediterranean delights. They had an eggplant dip available along a homemade hummus. It was served with well-seasoned flatbread. I had the roasted beet salad; it could have featured more beets but the dressing and arrangement overall was delicious.
It seems like they do a substantial take-out business. Seating was mostly high-tops. Service was a little strained but pleasant. Clean- great, diverse menu and I will try again! My partner tried the lamb and it was falling off of the bone.
